Joaquin Arteaga

Bandleader, Percussionist, Producer, Composer.
Joaquin Arteaga, venezuelan musician based in Barcelona Spain; creator, bandleader and timbalero of Tromboranga salsa orchestra. 

From an early age he felt a great passion for music and percussion instruments. 
He studies  Afro Venezuelan percussion at “Fundación Biggot” in Caracas, and also explores Afro Cuban styles and drum set with various teachers in Venezuela.   
During his stay in New York, he attended Boys Harbor where he studied Latin percussion. In 1998 he traveled to Barcelona, Spain, where he studied at the Conservatory of “L’aula de música moderna y jazz”, where he later became part of the teaching staff until 2004.  

In 2004 he travelled to Amsterdam where he had the opportunity to be part of the Gerardo Rosales Orchestra. He also performed several tours in Europe, accompanying Latin artists such as Andy Montañez, Andres Cepeda, Cano Estremera, Jhon Lozano, Gerardo Rosales, Gabino Pampini, Kanabayen Orchestra, La Sucursal SA, Paul De Castro and his Dengue Orchestra, Venezuelan Masters Orchestra, Bloque 53 among others.  He has been endorsed by the prestigious Latin Percussion LP brand, since 2009 and has 3 videos at congahead with Tromboranga.
